Jerry Pollock and wife, nee
Miss Helen Bruce, a niece of E. C.
Hardy, of Toano, arrived from Minnesota yesterday
morning and left on today's stage for Tuscarora
. Mr. Pollock, who is a
resident of the upper levels, went East some time ago,
and last week claimed his bride. We wish the newly

The marriage of Mr. J. J. Hylton,
of Mound Valley, and Miss Lena Garrecht of the White
Sulphur Springs is announced to take place at the church
on Thursday, October 10, 1889, at 8 o'clock p. m. A
public reception will be held at the Springs on the same
evening, commencing at 8:30 o'clock, to which all
friends of the young couple are cordially invited. A public
reception will also be held at the residence of the
bridegroom in Mound Valley on Tuesday evening, the 15th
