February 3, 1869 David Mclntosh was shot and killed by Al Page, at Elko. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

February 29, 1869 Lewis and Seiner, two Jew peddlers, were found in the creek near Camp Halleck the bodies bore the marks of an axe. No clue to the murderers. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

April 1, 1869 Henry A. Corcoran was shot and killed by Thomas H. Heffron at Elko. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

February 28, 1870 Yung Yew was killed by John Burke at Elko. He was kicked to death. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

March 27 1870 Ah Sin and Lung King were killed by Aug Eye, and the latter was killed the same day by Ah Tom. A row among the Celestials at Elko. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

June 6, 1870 Annie McManus was killed by Bernard J.  Cosgrove, at Elko, Elko County. Sixty-five wounds were inflicted with a knife. Sentenced to State Prison for life. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

July 17, 1870 Farley was killed by Murphy, near Moleen, Elko County. The former was stealing a ride on the cars, and when ordered off by Murphy, drew a pistol, when the latter struck him with a stick of wood-killing him.  History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

September 6, 1870 A Chinaman was found murdered about four miles below Elko, on the Humboldt River. The body was partially consumed by fire.  No clue to the perpetrators. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

April 4, 1872 Henry Berge was killed at Elko, by Thos. Laswell and Charles Dancy. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

January 3, 1873 James L. Armstrong was killed by Geo. Eubanks, at Elko, Elko County. Stabbed. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

October 25, 1873 En Chu was stabbed and killed by Charles Poo, at Elko. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

November 1, 1873 A Chinaman was murdered and robbed of $800, at Toano, Elko County, by his brother Celestials. The murderers were arrested at Elko, and lodged in jail. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

December 20, 1873 James Morgan was mysteriously murdered at Elko. The bullet that did the deadly work was shot through the door of the man's room, striking him in the stomach. A man named Myatt was arrested on suspicion. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

May 21, 1876 Webster was killed by John Able, near Camp Halleck. Money matters the cause. Webster was the aggressor. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

January 1877 Charles Silverstein was killed by Robert Crosier at Elko, Elko County. Jealousy of a woman named Mollie Costello. Crosier was hanged at Winnemucca October 30, 1877. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

February 24, 1877 Larry Lynch was shot and killed by John Hubbard in a saloon at Tuscarora, Elko County. Acquitted on the ground of self-defense. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

June 7, 1877 Tinnerty was shot and killed by Sam Mills, a negro boy, at Halleck Station. The boy attacked a lady with a knife, and was knocked down by a man standing near. The boy then got a gun and shot Tinnerty, supposing him to be the one who struck him. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

September 19, 1877 Dowdel was shot by Charles Wolgamott, at Elko, Elko County. Dowdel was a desperado, and was on a spree; had fired his six shooter at several men. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

September 21, 1877 Moses Hayes was killed by W. H.  Pierce, at Tuscarora, Elko County. Dispute over a town lot. This is the same Pierce who shot Wilson in Carson, in 1872. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

October 23, 1877 Andrew Mills was shot and killed by Redell, at Tuscarora, Elko County. An old grudge had existed between the parties for a long time. Mills struck Redell with an ax, and killed him, after he was shot by the latter. Both died. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

June 1878 George F. Culver was killed by James Clark, in Tuscarora, Elko County. The shooting was accidental, as the fight was between Clark and Joseph Garcon. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

July 1878 L. M. Huntsman was killed by a negro at Carlin. A dispute about a saddle.  History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881

December 9, 1878 Luke Gafney was shot and killed by James Quin at Elko. History of Nevada Thompson & West - 1881
